Hello friends!
This weekend I hung around the house
and worked on making some things more efficient for our lifestyle.
One of them being the need to be more ORGANIZED!
I know everyone can relate to that one.
I purchased this cork board at Hobby Lobby a few years ago.
I love the frame but the cork board was so thin
you could not even put thumbtacks into hold anything.
So I purchased a dry erase board and mounted it in the center.
It still had the same writing on it for a year. Seriously!
This was not working for us. So hmmm...
This was not working for us. So hmmm...
Enter this plastic frame I found at Hobby Lobby on clearance for a buck sometime ago.
Why was it a buck you ask? Because it was NEON GREEN!
This is after I painted it with my favorite Krylon spraypaint Jade!
I ripped off the dry erase board from the cork and hot glued it into the frame.
I am going to get glue some magnets and put it on the fridge!
I think since it will be front and center in the kitchen we will actually use it!
I LOVE this color!
So that leaves me with the cork board thing.
When I ripped off the dry erase board it ripped the flimsy cork board.
Hmm...now what to do with this?
It had a wooden backing and I had thought about making it into a picture frame.
But lately I have been on this chalkboard kick
so I spray painted the wooden backing with the chalkboard paint and it worked!
If you know me, you know I LOVE quotes
so what a perfect platform for me and my quotes!
Here are a few examples of my chalkboard/quote obsession that I worked on this week!
I have had this little guy for years. He is the last remnant of my "chef" kitchen decor phase.
I made this for the hubs using clearance things from Hobby Lobby :)
Have a fabulous week!!!
**Update**
Here is the frame on our fridge.
I made a list of all of the dishes we have on hand to make!
SO helpful when we go to the fridge and think "ugh there is nothing to eat"
This is such a clever idea. I would love for you to link up to my Linky Party via: http://ourdelightfulhome.blogspot.com/2012/06/live-show-me-what-you-got-linky-party_11.html
