My Jade Hutch

Hello friends!

I am so excited to share this with you!
This project was a long time coming. Literally.
I bought our hutch almost two years ago with the intention of painting it.
I am so glad I waited because I originally was going to paint it black.

But then Jade walked into my life.
Krylon Jade that is.

So here is the before

Then came...
Sanding and Priming

I used Rustoleum Gray Primer
I HIGHLY recommend this primer!!!
It is the best I have ever used.

Then I got my Jade and spray painted my little heart out!

Next was staining the top of the buffet
I used Minwax Red Chestnut that I have had laying around FOREVER.

Then I sanded the top again and sealed with Minwax Polyerethane.

and

Drum roll please.....
Is it possible to be in love with a piece of furniture?
These pictures do NOT do this gorgeous piece any justice!

Here she is all put back together.

Ugh, I am in LOVE! My Fenton Hobnail Milk glass POPS!

  33. I love it! My mom had my dad make her a beadboard-backed hutch top for an old buffet years ago, and she painted it (and her kitchen cabinets) in a Williamsburg color (I think it was Benjamin Moore paint but I forget) that looked just like your hutch. She had milk glass all over it. It brings back many fond memories seeing yours.
