Apple Pie Apples

Hello all! I am simply humbled that 117 of you
have chosen to follow this little blog of ours.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Today I am going to share with you a fun dessert I stumbled upon...Apple Pie Apples!
I do not have a sweet tooth so this tart dessert is perfect for me!

I used:
4 Granny Smith Apples
1/4 cup Sugar
1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 pre made Pie Crust

First- Hollow out your apples

Dice the insides of your apples
and mix with your sugar, cinnamon, and brown sugar.

Stuff that mixture inside of your apples

Cut thin strips out of your pie crust and make a lattice top.

Place your apples in a baking dish
with just enough water to cover the bottom of the dish.
Cover with foil and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
Remove the foil and continue baking for another 20 minutes.

and voila!

 YUMMMM!!!

Not only do they taste amazing, they are also so, so cute!
A fun and fancy (but deceivingly simple) dessert that will definetly impress!

  7. I love these! I tried them once and it failed HORRIBLY! It came out more like apple sauce than apple pie. Maybe I added too much water at the bottom of the baking dish. I'm going to try them again and maybe they'll come out. Thanks for sharing. Now following through gfc. Love from Whimsically Homemade!

  38. I have these in the oven as I type!! They were a bit harder than I thought to make. Mostly it was hard to hollow out the apples. What is the best way to do this?

  39. I just made this, but used cinnamon roll dough instead of the pie crust. It was great! Thanks for sharing.

  46. These are all really solid tips. I can’t tell you how often I see a comment on one of the blogs I write for that amounts to “nice post” and nothing more. I’ve even worked at a couple of sites that delete comments that don’t add to the discussion!출장안마
