Compromise Cookies

Hello friends!

It's hard to find a cookie recipe because
I like them super crispy to soak in milk
and it seems everyone else likes them soft and chewy.

Today I tried a cookie recipe from Little Mommy, Big Appetite and guess what...
We all loved them!
So I am now calling these our Compromise Cookies!
Her recipe calls for:
3/4 c. unsalted butter, softened
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract

2 c. flour
2 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

1.  Cream butter, both sugars, egg, and vanilla in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth.
2.  In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
3.  Slowly pour the dry mixture into the wet ingredients and combine.
4.  Add the chocolate chips.
5.  Chill the mixture for 30 minutes.
6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
6.  On a cookie sheet, place a small scoop of cookie dough.
7.  Bake for 8-10 minutes
(check at 8 minutes - do not let them turn brown or over bake!).
PERFECTION.
They were the perfect combination of crisp, soft, and chewy chocolate chip cookies!

We don't have a huge sweet tooth so when I make sweets,
we end up having to throw most of it out, as they will go bad before we can finish them.
I made a small batch and decided to freeze the rest.

I rolled the rest of the dough into little balls and placed them in the freezer.
Make sure they are not touching so they do not get stuck together.

Once frozen, I placed them in a baggie with instructions.
I found out that the best way to cook frozen cookie dough is to take them out of the freezer so that they thaw out a little while the oven preheats. Bake them for two extra minutes and they will be perfect!
